I am a Ukrainian cinematographer, documentary filmmaker and educator with experience working across Europe, the Middle East, North America and New Zealand in cross-cultural storytelling, research, and social advocacy. My work has been screened in over 30 countries from Japan to Argentina, and awarded Grand Jury Award for Best Doc in Guam, Best Short Doc in Reykjavik, Asian Cinematography Award Best Short Doc (Our Love), Best Short Doc at NFFTY in Seattle.
My creative interest lies in the intersection of photography, writing and documentary based projects that reveal personal narratives and complicate official stories with fixed perspectives. I show a strong interest in the international narrative power of images which has made me travel around the world collecting knowledge from different cultures in visual storytelling.
Currently teaching film and media workshops at NYU Abu Dhabi while curating film programs, serving as international festival jury member, and mentoring emerging filmmakers. I specialize in developing impact-driven projects through creative strategy, community engagement, and accessible filmmaking tools. Open to opportunities in film production, media, NGOs, and cultural institutions.
I hold an MFA in Film (Cinematography) from Victoria University of Wellington, and a BA in Film & New Media and History from New York University Abu Dhabi.
